The current year is 2006. With the rise of Lord Voldemort’s control over Wizarding Britain, a resistance is beginning to grow against the Death Eaters. Dubbed the Eternal Flame, it represents the phoenix's burning fortitude rising from the ashes, a light piercing the darkness. But despite this flicker of hope, things are tense. The streets are empty and quiet, and most witches and wizards keep to themselves, heads down, eyes averted as they do everything they can to avoid the attention of the Death Eaters and their roaming inferi. Those who are thought to be working against the Dark Lord are hunted for blood sport and executed. Times are dark, and desperation causes good men to do the unthinkable, but who will remain standing among the ashes?
