Our roleplay is built around nostalgia, personal history, and the way the past quietly shapes the present. Set in the lakeside town of Gracebridge, Michigan, the setting is grounded and familiar—a place of old neighborhoods, inherited routines, and stories that feel like they’ve been lived before.
What sets Then & Now apart is its dual timeline structure.
Alongside present-day threads, members are encouraged to explore their characters’ pasts through expanded dedicated flashback forums: adolescence, early adulthood, turning points, old letters, and recent years. These aren’t just optional extras—they’re part of the narrative fabric, allowing relationships, reputations, and emotional arcs to be built across time rather than only in the moment.
The underlying focus is on the quiet pull of nostalgia—the kind of storytelling where your character’s history still matters just as much as who they are now.
