Mishanti's cruel reign kept all seven courts under her control for over 50 years and only through united powers, a well crafted plan and unnamable courage were the fae of prythian able to free themselves and defeat the high queen. in an aftermath of the high rulers regaining their full powers and the courts being released from mishanti's bane, an eighth court revealed itself: dusk court, full of demons and fiends. we now mark one year since the liberation strike ⸺ where has history taken the prythian's since ?

Meddling with time always has far reaching consequences.

The year is 2017. A peaceful, prosperous future lies ahead for humans and mutants alike. While the Mutant Registration Act passed in 2016, so did the 28th Amendment guaranteeing mutants the same rights and protections under the law as baseline humans. Mutants will not be experimented on, locked away, and are a protected class under the law.

But the X-Men remember a different future, one they fought to change, one where the world was turned into a wasteland, mutants were hunted almost to extinction, and only the very few remained: those who would travel back in time to change the course of history to ensure this age of peace.

Unfortunately, once the streams of time are open, they are not so easy to shut. Future influences are slipping through the gaps, jockeying for power and position across time.

New Mutants show up every day and they still need a safe haven to call home. The US government has tentatively recognized the X-Men as a solution for problem that require a mutant to solve. The Brotherhood is weakened, but hasn't disbanded, they still conspire for mutant superiority. In the shadows, the Hellfire Club is scheming.

The future is imperfect, but it is still ours to fight for.

Motion Sickness is an AU Marauders Era RP set in 1982, during the Marauders Era as it never was.
