Meddling with time always has far reaching consequences.
The year is 2017. A peaceful, prosperous future lies ahead for humans and mutants alike. While the Mutant Registration Act passed in 2016, so did the 28th Amendment guaranteeing mutants the same rights and protections under the law as baseline humans. Mutants will not be experimented on, locked away, and are a protected class under the law.
But the X-Men remember a different future, one they fought to change, one where the world was turned into a wasteland, mutants were hunted almost to extinction, and only the very few remained: those who would travel back in time to change the course of history to ensure this age of peace.
Unfortunately, once the streams of time are open, they are not so easy to shut. Future influences are slipping through the gaps, jockeying for power and position across time.
New Mutants show up every day and they still need a safe haven to call home. The US government has tentatively recognized the X-Men as a solution for problem that require a mutant to solve. The Brotherhood is weakened, but hasn't disbanded, they still conspire for mutant superiority. In the shadows, the Hellfire Club is scheming.

PLOT: The Snap. It was felt throughout the universe the first time, and again when Thanos destroyed the stones. It sent a power surge unlike anything that'd ever been seen-- causing an effect no one knew until Tony Stark bravely sacrificed himself to destroy Thanos and his army. With the third and final snap the barrier the separated our universe from the rest of the multiverse began to tear. Sorcerers from both sides frantically worked along with top scientists to stop it, but all they could do was quarantine the spots the openings appeared. However, this doesn't stop new ones from gradually ripping the fabric in more places around the universe. Villains and heroes alike are making their way through the openings for reasons all their own.
Will this be contained to only their neighboring universe? Or will more unexpected universes and planets begin to unveil?
Recently, those lost in battle are beginning to reappear dazed and confused in the universe including the infamous Loki, Tony Stark, Black Widow-- along with many others lost over the past several years... Who all will return? Is this an indication we could see more of those they fought so hard to stop. Both heroes and villains on both sides are on edge, and looking for answers.
