Paroxysm is a playable early-alpha text-based multiplayer RPG (a MUD).
A modern supernatural dystopia. The gates to Hell opened. Almost half of humanity died. The gates closed. What remains lives under the Cortex — a world government built on surveillance, containment, and control. Player-led societies form in the wreckage. The supernatural is real. Under the Cortex, humanity endures.
Systems are unfinished, bugs exist, and the world is still forming. We are building it in the open with our players.
