Since late 2023, the government, the public and the world at large have been playing catch-up. Laws have been drafted, lines have been drawn. NYC is still the epicenter of this fundamental shift in reality, and the people caught in between struggle to live their lives in the aftermath. Some look to the government to exert control over this new threat; others fight for the freedom and dignity of Remarkables. Conflict looms around every corner, threatening to blossom into open violence on the streets.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Heroes, X-Men, The Boys and others, we’re looking to carve our own new path, navigating a world coming to grips with what it means to have truly extraordinary people among them. This is not your classic capes-and-masks superhero setting! We are an adult roleplay-by-post, open to all levels, have no word count and knowledge of fandoms is not required. Admins drive regular site-wide storylines, but members also create their own plots and adventures together, allowing everyone to roleplay their own meaningful story arcs. Power of Belief is an 18+ modern fantasy, sandbox roleplay that is loosely inspired by William Joyce’s Guardians of Childhood series. We encourage creativity and imagination, we welcome ideas and characters across different fandoms and lore!

Magic is real. It lurks beneath every crevice, within each story, and inside you and I. For us, it comes in the silent form of belief, so subtle and insignificant that most think it does not exist. After all, it is easy to brush away the acts that merely believing can bring about. Coincidence, they say! A sad reality, considering so many rely upon it as if it were a lifeblood.

Yet, this would not be a proper story if it did not have a villain.

The monster under the bed, the boogeyman, the Nightmare King- he has many names. Pitch Black is a relic of another time, but a dangerous one. As what little humanity he has climbed to the surface, he arguably grows even more dangerous, desperately aiming to steal the belief of others so as to spread fear in hopes that it may smother the man- hero- known as Kozmotis Pitchiner. As his presence grows more troubling against all that childhood stands for, the Man in the Moon calls upon a new generation of Guardians to take up the cause.
