It’s been four years since the Dividing War came to a screeching halt. It began when the former Seraph leader was killed by way of a public execution that was streamed on a NOVA network for all arcanists to see. The outrage was palpable and hot, but there wasn’t much of a fight to be had when all those suspected to be associated with Seraph were arrested and imprisoned by the Federation, thus bringing the war to a sudden–and victorious–end.
For centuries, the Hollow Realm has been caught in a ceaseless war. It began with the fae who wished to enslave humankind, as the fae saw the humans as weak and unfit to be anything but lesser. However, many would not agree and chose to rebel and fight back. War broke out between the courts and those who wished to fight back against the tyranny of the queen and her crusade to rule all of the Hollow Realm and enslave the lesser species of the realm.
The queen's forces forced dragons to fight for them. They formed powerful bonds and fought ruthlessly in the skies and on the ground, until the dragons, too, rebelled. Many of the dragons fled with those who rebelled, spreading far and wide across Astralis, forging alliances with fae and human alike as they found their place in the war. Many saw the darkness to come, and the dragons did what they could to protect the Hollow Realm.
The queen would never stop until she held the world in her hand, until she was the most powerful ruler in the Hollow Realms. The war was bloody, and many lives were lost on both sides. Eventually, it came to a draw as the queen retreated Under the Mountain, and the fae gave part of their land to the humans, allowing a tenuous pact of peace to form between both kingdoms. The humans took Valamir, and with the help of those fae who were willing, they began to rebuild.
The queen's forces forced dragons to fight for them. They formed powerful bonds and fought ruthlessly in the skies and on the ground, until the dragons, too, rebelled. Many of the dragons fled with those who rebelled, spreading far and wide across Astralis, forging alliances with fae and human alike as they found their place in the war. The Sun Summoner’s attempt at destroying the Shadow Fold failed. Weakened from exerting too much of her power, she, along with Mal Oretsev, Zoya Nazyalensky, and the Crows fled the fold and left the Darkling behind to the mercy of the volcra. Presumed dead, the Darkling managed to pull himself free from the fold with a new scar and a burning darkness in his heart. While Alina and Mal flee to Novyi Zem, the Darkling has begun to amass an army of his own known as the Oprichniki, composed of fellow Grisha loyal to him. He has set his sights on the Grand Palace, on the throne, on taking Ravka and staking the claim on what should have rightfully been his.
Meanwhile in Ketterdam, Pekka Rollins has been making strides to expand his reach across the Barrel. He has gone into business with others such as Geels and Tante Heleen, expanding his businesses and his power. The Crows have returned to Ketterdam to find that much has changed since they were gone. The Crow Club is no more, bought by Pekka Rollins and renamed the Kaelish Prince, forcing the Crows to retreat to Blackveil Island while Kaz Brekker comes up with a plan to take back what is his, and to get rid of Pekka Rollins once and for all.

Our story centres around the people who work in the Beaufort Building - an office building north of Times Square that is home to a number of industries. We have the Beau Records studio, fashioned after the Brill Building that songwriters like Carole King called home. You'll also find Scene Magazine, taking its inspiration from the Village Voice, and a fashion house.

There was once a time when werewolves were the species garnering the most power. Their royal family was feared and respected. But with great power comes the ability to fall and fall the werewolves did. In wanting to rise to the top, powerful warlocks known as the Saints seized control and cursed the royals from their bipedal forms to their true wolf and slaughtered others. Of course, some escaped but not all.
The Saints have been at the top since. An already strong organization now teetering on having total control. Kingstown is the unsuspecting town where they prepare the future of their lineage. But as powerful as they are, they still have enemies - namely those who have been burned by them like witches and what is left of the werewolves.
It is only a matter of time before they are challenged. The werewolf King has returned and is working with witches to take back the town. As tensions rise between warlocks and wolves and a war imminent, the other species lurking in town are up to no good of their own. Where do you fit in?

New Year 2023, and millions of fae, once only a sparing presence in the human realm, were cast out of their realm en masse – an event even the human world could not hope to ignore. By October of the following year, the existence of all supernaturals has been revealed to the world. Now, Veil stands as both a sanctuary for those supernaturals seeking refuge, and curiosity for tourists hoping to catch a glimpse of the beings who have walked among them all along. How will the supernatural community adapt to life in the spotlight, while the human governments and society at large grapple with this new and strange reality?
