The circus train is the troupe’s uncanny vessel, carrying them from one corner of the world to the next—though not always by rails. At times it glides along ordinary tracks, and at others it slips into the sky like a shadow breaking free from the earth.

After fae went public to the world in the 1980s, the world changed. Government agencies were formed to keep everything under control. Anti-fae groups sprung up in the controversy. Chaos hit fast and hard, but eventually a steady peace came about. That peace was broken again in the early 2000s, when werewolves were outed. Agencies expanded, hate groups grew, and new pro-non-human groups fought tooth and nail to show that the things that went bump in the night were just like you and me, not something to be feared.

That, of course, didn't account for the witches, wizards, walkers, druids, vampires, and NON-public fae still roaming around right under everyone else's noses.

Decadence is a unique and interactive supernatural rpg with a mature twist. We are very plot driven with many opportunities for influence.

It was in the aftermath of the apocalyptic cycle that supernaturals found refuge from the Wilds in Sacramento, California. The vampires, werewolves, witches and draka support one another in what is now a busy city complete with electricity, thanks to magic. It has become an empire, the capital of the continent and safe haven from the over-grown, jungle-like wilderness that has become perilous with mutated and hungry beasts.

However, the city holds deliciously dark details - seemingly lawless and cruel. And yet they not only make due but flourish, no one can deny the sanctuary that is this twisted metropolis. Humans and shifters are "subspecies" and considered slaves, used for everything from gardening, chauffeuring to more carnal tasks.

But there is a resistance! The Rebels, led by a fierce man scorned by the first President. They have taken up the little town of Lodi; setting up outposts and growing in numbers.
