There was a time when Auradon stood as a testament to everything good was supposed to represent. Heroes ruled, villains were afforded second chances, and the children of both were promised a future unburdened by the mistakes of their parents. It was a kingdom built upon the belief that everyone deserved their own happily ever after. Unfortunately, even the most beautiful fairy tales have a tendency to overlook the monsters waiting between their pages.

The Queen of Hearts did not come to Auradon seeking redemption. She came to conquer it.

What began as an ordinary orientation became the foundation of a new regime when the Queen seized control of the kingdom and dismantled everything its inhabitants had once known. Auradon was reborn as Hollow Bastion, a sprawling dystopian metropolis divided into four districts under the authority of the Crimson Order. Technology and tyranny have become nearly indistinguishable beneath the watchful eye of Redline OS, while the Queen's enforcers ensure that loyalty is rewarded and dissent is dealt with accordingly.

Yet the Crown's authority is neither absolute nor uncontested. The Right Side Up, a resistance determined to reclaim the kingdom, continues to operate within the shadows, while those living along the Fringe have learned that survival sometimes demands allegiance to no one but themselves. Beyond the city, forgotten realms and ancient powers threaten to complicate a conflict that has already rewritten the destinies of heroes and villains alike.

In Hollow Bastion, bloodlines may open doors, but they offer little protection from the consequences of ambition. A princess might become a revolutionary, a villain might discover something worth protecting, and the most unassuming citizen might possess the means to bring an entire kingdom to its knees. There are no guarantees that good will triumph, that evil will prevail, or that the characters who begin this story will recognize themselves by its conclusion.

That part is up to you.

THE QUEEN HAS REWRITTEN THE STORY. WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR CHAPTER?

WWII didn't end with a treaty. It ended when a portal to Hell opened. Almost half of humanity died before the gates closed, and what was left handed itself to the Cortex, one world government built on surveillance, containment and control.

More than a year has passed since the fall of the Usurper Queen, Mishanti, whose fifty-year reign cast every court of Prythian beneath her shadow. Though the High Lords and Ladies reclaimed their power and the realm found freedom, peace proved fleeting. From forgotten texts and buried history, an eighth court emerged... Dusk Court, home to a species of demons long believed to be myth. Additionally, Night Court has unveiled their own secret with the dazzling reveal of Velaris, the City of Starlight.

As fae and demons struggle to coexist, the gods have begun to test the realm itself. Thrones rise and fall, ancient powers stir, and one question lingers above them all — the Cauldron has vanished without a trace. In an age where history is still being written, where will your story begin?

Gloaming, Indiana is a former quarry town built over converging leylines, where fog settles over Victorian neighborhoods and something supernatural lives just beneath the surface. Witches wield volatile magic. Vampires hold old grudges. Dragons remember the sky they lost. Fae refugees have settled in the mundane realm as well, and even dream-born Oneiri now walk the waking world under the terms of a tenuous bargain.

Months after black rain and violent tremors tore the town apart, rebuilding continues under a carefully managed story. Most residents remember the fear, but not the why. The Sanctum Concordat has tightened control. As with many supernatural events throughout history, the truth of what happened has been deliberately suppressed.

Gloaming survived. That doesn’t mean the town is safe.

Carpe Noctem is a plot-forward modern supernatural RP focused on gothic atmosphere, conspiracies, and character-driven stories with lasting consequences.

Help rebuild the town. Exploit the cracks. Investigate what everyone else forgot.

Come for the monsters. Stay for the fallout.

14 playable species. 25+ writers only. No word count. Profile application. Original characters. Sitewide and member-led plots. Fresh events every quarter.

AURADON IS GONE.

In its place stands Hollow Bastion, a kingdom rebuilt beneath the Queen of Hearts and divided into four districts ruled by villains, royals, soldiers, and those willing to serve the Crown.

Lantern drones watch from above. Redline tracks the population. The Mortal Coil Grid turns rebellion into spectacle. And beneath it all, Master Control is still listening.

But Hollow Bastion is not as obedient as it appears.

The Right Side Up fights to reclaim what was stolen. The Fringe survives beyond the Crown’s reach. Pirates, dragon riders, Merlinians, princesses, villains, rebels, experiments, and descendants are all deciding what comes next.

RED OVERRIDE is a 21+ Disney Descendants AU and crossover fantasy RPG featuring dark fantasy, dystopian sci-fi, rebellion, political intrigue, found family, romance, and character-driven plotting.

100+ available roles • Original characters welcome • No writing sample required • 3-3-3 rating

The kingdom has already fallen.

What comes next is up to you.

THE QUEEN OF HEARTS WON.

Auradon has fallen. In its place stands Hollow Bastion, a conquered kingdom divided beneath the Crown into Hearts, Spades, Diamonds, and Clubs.

The old generation was never cursed away. They are still here, and many of them are the ones holding the reins.

Under Bridget's rule, Redline OS watches the population, Curiosers track citizens, and the Mortal Coil Grid turns execution into one final choice: die, or survive long enough to become useful to the Crown.

But Hollow Bastion is not obedient. Right Side Up fights the regime from within, the Fringe survives beyond Crown control, and Wonderland itself is beginning to seep into reality through unstable Wrongways.

Play a canon, adapt a familiar character to the AU, or create someone entirely your own.

SERVE THE CROWN. JOIN THE RESISTANCE. VANISH INTO THE FRINGE.

the current year is 2006. With Mad-Eye Moody as the new head of the Order of the Phoenix, they have become far more radicalized against the festering scourge that is Lord Voldemort’s control, but a rebellion still grows—Harry Potter is working in secret to build his own army against Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore’s Army, comprised of his fellow students or those few Order members who want nothing more than to bring both groups together as a united front against the Death Eaters.
