After fae went public to the world in the 1980s, the world changed. Government agencies were formed to keep everything under control. Anti-fae groups sprung up in the controversy. Chaos hit fast and hard, but eventually a steady peace came about. That peace was broken again in the early 2000s, when werewolves were outed. Agencies expanded, hate groups grew, and new pro-non-human groups fought tooth and nail to show that the things that went bump in the night were just like you and me, not something to be feared.

That, of course, didn't account for the witches, wizards, walkers, druids, vampires, and NON-public fae still roaming around right under everyone else's noses.

With quarterly events, diverse subplots, and a tri-city area as your playground, there's never a dull moment in this slice-of-life RP. Having no character limit, a 250 minimum word count, and laid back activity checks (including no post requirements for non-ranking characters), means you can choose the play/writing style that works best for you and your real life distractions.

For centuries, the Hollow Realm has been caught in a ceaseless war. It began with the fae who wished to enslave humankind, as the fae saw the humans as weak and unfit to be anything but lesser. However, many would not agree and chose to rebel and fight back. War broke out between the courts and those who wished to fight back against the tyranny of the queen and her crusade to rule all of the Hollow Realm and enslave the lesser species of the realm.

The queen's forces forced dragons to fight for them. They formed powerful bonds and fought ruthlessly in the skies and on the ground, until the dragons, too, rebelled. Many of the dragons fled with those who rebelled, spreading far and wide across Astralis, forging alliances with fae and human alike as they found their place in the war. Many saw the darkness to come, and the dragons did what they could to protect the Hollow Realm.

The queen would never stop until she held the world in her hand, until she was the most powerful ruler in the Hollow Realms. The war was bloody, and many lives were lost on both sides. Eventually, it came to a draw as the queen retreated Under the Mountain, and the fae gave part of their land to the humans, allowing a tenuous pact of peace to form between both kingdoms. The humans took Valamir, and with the help of those fae who were willing, they began to rebuild.

HOLLOW REALM is a mature 21+ fantasy roleplay. We have a 3/3/3 rating; this means language, violence, and sexual themes can be written in detail. We will also explore themes of VIOLENCE, MURDER, DEATH, CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS, WAR, TORTURE, AND SEX. If these themes make you uncomfortable, this site may not be for you. His body is currently being tended to by seasoned healers, and his son has taken up the crown in his stead, dubbing himself the High Archon, where he rules the realm through tyranny and terror. Eager to seek as much magical power as he could, the archon became drunk on his pursuit to become the most powerful arcanist in the realm.

It was in the aftermath of the apocalyptic cycle that supernaturals found refuge from the Wilds in Sacramento, California. Modern supernatural rpg set in Upstate New York. The town of Kingstown was founded by those that were fleeing persecution because of what they were. But over the years the town has become a haven to all things sinister and corrupt.

There was once a time when werewolves were the species garnering the most power. Their royal family was feared and respected. But with great power comes the ability to fall and fall the werewolves did. In wanting to rise to the top, powerful warlocks known as the Saints seized control and cursed the royals from their bipedal forms to their true wolf and slaughtered others. Of course, some escaped but not all.

The Saints have been at the top since. An already strong organization now teetering on having total control. Kingstown is the unsuspecting town where they prepare the future of their lineage. But as powerful as they are, they still have enemies - namely those who have been burned by them like witches and what is left of the werewolves.

It is only a matter of time before they are challenged. The werewolf King has returned and is working with witches to take back the town. As tensions rise between warlocks and wolves and a war imminent, the other species lurking in town are up to no good of their own. Where do you fit in?
