Power of Belief is an 18+ modern fantasy, sandbox roleplay that is loosely inspired by William Joyce’s Guardians of Childhood series. We encourage creativity and imagination, we welcome ideas and characters across different fandoms and lore!

Magic is real. It lurks beneath every crevice, within each story, and inside you and I. For us, it comes in the silent form of belief, so subtle and insignificant that most think it does not exist. After all, it is easy to brush away the acts that merely believing can bring about. Coincidence, they say! A sad reality, considering so many rely upon it as if it were a lifeblood.

The monster under the bed, the boogeyman, the Nightmare King- he has many names. Pitch Black is a relic of another time, but a dangerous one. Welcome to War Storm, an AU Percy Jackson Role-Play set in Camp Jupiter from the Heroes of Olympus Books. We are Non-Canon and Original Storyline with aspects from the books, and as such, we do not allow “Canon” Characters from the books, IE, no Character named “Percy Jackson” and/or is also the son of Neptune.

While you might see faces from the movie and names from the books, they are not the same characters portrayed. The Shroud lifts, allowing you to see the true forms of monsters and creatures inside the world; reading Latin is easier than reading English.

The Legion trains to keep the peace between the world of the Gods and the world of Mortals, but how long can this last while others work in the shadows to subvert that balance?

Our story takes place in two different periods: Chicago 1936, in the height of the Great Depression, which is our NOW; and Paris 1896, during the great Belle Époque, which is our THEN. Characters can reside within either period but those who are known as SONDERS exist in both, maintaining two separate, and sometimes very different lives (or identities!) as they are transported without warning from one period to the other.

There is – as yet – no explanation for the phenomenon, and it affects each Sonder differently, though the duration and frequency of their displacements generally increase over time. Many Sonders have been enjoying the blessings and enduring the challenges of their unique dichotomy for years but every so often a new lost soul joins their ranks, falling asleep in one period and waking up in another, where they are forced to reconsider everything they thought they knew about the spectrum of time and their existence on it.
